Come volunteer in North Bay Hospital's Surgery Department as a volunteer Surgical Liasion. You are responsible for the relaying of information about the patient's surgical journey from surgery to PACU/Recovery Room. You are there to provide support and ease the hospital experience for patients and families as well as performing various duties for the Surgical team.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

Greet patients, families and friends to waiting area and familiarize visitors to waiting room.

Interact with hospital surgical team and patients families by keeping families updates on the status of their loved ones.

Assist with escorting families to cafeteria, cafe and other areas of hospital as needed.

Consistently track the patient's surgical journey while providing updates to families.

Circulate around waiting room offering coffee, magazines and conversation to help lessen the anxiety of those waiting.

Assist with patient discharges.

Assist Surgical staff by performing various clerical duties.
