Milwaukee Pets Alive isn’t just another rescue. We are here to shape rescue. Join us as a Special Events Coordinator volunteer!
Special Events Coordinators will plan and ensure the execution of special events/fundraising events that are important for increasing awareness about our organization, the population of special needs/considerations animals we serve, and the important work we are doing for the animals of Milwaukee and that are integral to raising the funds necessary to support that work.
Special Events Coordinators will, under the direction of MPA’s Executive Director, plan and execute special events/fundraising events throughout the year.
Each MPA Special Event Coordinator will be responsible for (and must be able to commit to) creating/planning/leading/executing/managing/marketing at least 1 special event per year and will also assist the other MPA Special Events Coordinators with the events that they are leading.
Take the lead of one of our annual events or use your imagination to create a new, fun event our supporters will want to attend and that will attract new people to come learn about our organization and engage them to be supporters themselves! Special events in the past have included happy hours, car washes, rummage sales, etc.
Special Events Coordinators will also be a part of the committee to plan a major annual organizational event.
The Special Event Coordinator must attend a planning meeting every other month (6 a year) to share ideas and coordinate with the rest of the Special Events Team and any additional meetings deemed necessary for proper planning and execution by the Executive Director and other Special Events Coordinators such as when working on a special project. Special Events coordination tasks are done outside of planning meetings on your own or in collaboration with other volunteers. Work on volunteer tasks around your schedule!
We are looking for several volunteers to fill several Special Events Coordinator roles with MPA. The right individuals will strongly believe in our mission, vision, and core values (please visit our website, www.milwaukeepetsalive.org to learn about us before inquiring/applying for this volunteer position) and have a sincere interest in elevating our organization, extending our reach, and growing with us (so commitment and dedication are important). Must be motivated, and a self-starter with initiative, drive, ambition, and the ability to work independently. Must also be willing and able to accept direction to produce messaging, results, and practices consistent with that of the overall organization as a whole. Individuals must be able to follow through on their commitments. MPA is looking for volunteers to fill these roles who recognize the importance of working on behalf of the special animals we serve and will work hard for them as they are counting on us to save their lives!
Think big! Be creative! Throw great parties where supporters can have fun while doing good!
When many people do a little to make a difference, together, we make change. Special Events/Fundraisers are an integral (and really fun!) part of serving the special needs/considerations animals we do and providing them everything and anything they need to be happy and healthy. The more volunteer help we have, the more animals whose only hope is MPA we can help. Will you help? If you want to help and can fulfill the needs we are looking for in a volunteer for this role, please email email@example.com or reply to this posting.
Please help us do more for the animals of this community! Thank you.
Milwaukee Pets Alive is an all-volunteer, No Kill, 501c3 non-profit organization that focuses on saving those animals that have been passed over by, or would not be accepted into, other rescues and shelters and would have no other option for life except for through our organization. These animals may be shy, scared, under-socialized, injured, aged, differently-abled, or need extra medical resources - all deserve the chance to be loved and cherished. Their lives are important. We couldn’t help these special animals of our community that we do if not for the wonderful people who volunteer their time and talents!
