Volunteers are needed to assist in 3 ways during the spring tax season each year:
Greeters: Greeters welcome taxpayers as they come to the site, providing them with an intake form to fill out, which assists the tax preparer in knowing about the taxpayer's specific tax situation. Greeters also verify that taxpayers have the required documents to have their taxes prepared, such as identification, Social Security cards, W-2 forms, etc.

Tax Preparers: All training is provided by the IRS, free of charge! Training is in-class and/or online and begins in December. Testing is open book. Basic and Advanced certification is available. Returns are prepared on a computer, and a computer lab is available for preparing practice returns during training.

Financial Educators: Taxpayers are encouraged to consult with financial educators who can assist them in a many different ways, such as how to create a budget, how to save money, and the best way to maximize their tax refunds for financial security.
