We need volunteers to help in Northeast Austin Saturday, December 1 from 9:30-2:30. This is a really fun event that emphasizes giving rather than receiving. It benefits Trinity Child Development Center a non profit CDC in East Austin. There are lots of children's activities as well as chances for the children and parents to shop, make gifts, wrap gifts and in general celebrate.
We need people of all ages to help especially with children's activities like help children wrap presents for their parents, bowling, ball toss, fishing booth and other activities including clean up at the end. This is a great activity for teenagers or preteens or even a family to volunteer at.
We have listed skills, but they are optional. We can use anyone!
We are also looking for people with musical skills who can perform Christmas music in the area where people eat and hang around and where Santa meets children.
This is a day of caring as we work together to show children that Santa wants us to share with others.

Mission Statement
The mission of TCDC is to provide quality, affordable early care and education to children within our economically and ethnically diverse community. We strive to provide stability and support to the children in our care and to their families, so that together we can truly impact future generations
Description
Trinity Child Development Center has served the needs of low and moderate income families in Northeast Austin since 1964. TCDC is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. In October 2001, Trinity was accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). In 2007, Trinity CDC became a partner of United Way Capital Area. At TCDC we understand the importance of the early years on children. When young children and their families participate in our programming the children develop into resilient, caring, creative, intelligent children and adults. We help children reach their full potential when their brains are at their most crucial point of development. We offer a safe place for children to express emotions, learn independence and develop problem solving skills. TCDC also supports parents by extending their community in ways that support them.
