Willamalane's Adult Activity Center is look for adult volunteers who are personable, tactful, good problem-solvers, and who enjoy traveling around the local area and beyond. Most important, a volunteer in this role needs to be someone who wants to assist others in having fun!
The volunteer would take trips with older adults. By performing this volunteer function, you are empowering older adults to continue to be able to travel to places in a relaxed, low-stress environment.

Description
Willamalane Park and Recreation District maintains and operates seven recreation facilities and 44 parks and natural areas that make up more than 1,500 acres. Highlights include Splash! at Lively Park, Camp Putt Adventure Golf Park, Wildish Community Theater, 13 waterfront areas, 21 miles of hiking and biking trails, 15 sports fields and 24 playgrounds. Willamalane offers hundreds of recreation programs to more than 60,000 patrons. Created by voters in 1944, Willamalane is a special tax district, separate from the city of Springfield, with its own boundaries. It is governed by a five-member, elected board of directors and managed by a district superintendent. Online information is available at willamalane.org
