Description

Willamalane Park and Recreation District maintains and operates seven recreation facilities and 44 parks and natural areas that make up more than 1,500 acres. Highlights include Splash! at Lively Park, Camp Putt Adventure Golf Park, Wildish Community Theater, 13 waterfront areas, 21 miles of hiking and biking trails, 15 sports fields and 24 playgrounds. Willamalane offers hundreds of recreation programs to more than 60,000 patrons. Created by voters in 1944, Willamalane is a special tax district, separate from the city of Springfield, with its own boundaries. It is governed by a five-member, elected board of directors and managed by a district superintendent. Online information is available at willamalane.org

I get so much out of this, it is so much fun teaching and learning from the kids, I've been doing in every week for over 2 months now and I look forward to it every time and it is very well organized!

I'm amazed at everything that is offered by Willamalane, Everyone is so friendly and eager to help. Every time I volunteer i find more things I enjoy and appreciate. Keep up the great work.
