Eating Disorders Resource Center (EDRC) strives to increase awareness and understanding of eating disorders for the general public and for health professionals and to promote early diagnosis, effective treatment, and recovery. We provide educational and awareness programs throughout Silicon Valley as well as facilitate free, monthly support groups for sufferers and their families.

EDRC is looking for individuals with background in coaching and facilitating groups to lead (or sub for) our eating disorders support groups up to 4 times per month. This individual will be trained according to EDRC and ANAD (Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders) policies and will gain experience volunteering for or observing current groups before facilitating their own.

Eating disorders support groups are free, open, facilitated self-help groups designed to give members an opportunity to share resources, express themselves openly, and gain new tools for recovery. Group leaders may lead a family/friends group or a group for sufferers. Groups are specific to within a 30 mile radius of Los Gatos, CA.

This is a good opportunity for individuals pursuing their LMFT or degree in psychology or social work. Supervision for hours provided.
