EDRC is looking for a volunteer to help us maintain our WordPress website and help with other IT related tasks. Duties include: * Maintaining a WordPress-based web site (provider listings, article posts, website edits) - Perform regular site maintenance and updates to plugins and WordPress - Maintain WordPress user list and permissions * Maintain Google docs, drive, and emails - Manage Google mail accounts for new volunteers, delete old accounts, etc. - Set up and configure Google drive and docs on volunteer systems (as needed) - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite * Assessing and maintaining backup and security software for a small office Windows network - Inventory and keep current antivirus and antimalware utilities on office computers. - Instruct staff in basic security procedures: use of passwords, how to spot phishing emails, etc. - Verify and test existing backup system to ensure proper operation.

Eating Disorders Resource Center (EDRC) strives to increase awareness and understanding of eating disorders for the general public and for health professionals and to promote early diagnosis, effective treatment, and recovery. The EDRC does this by providing resources and information including in-patient and community based treatment programs in Santa Clara County, as well as facilitating monthly support groups so that sufferers and their families and friends have the opportunity to meet together and learn from each other. EDRC is currently looking for a Grant Writer/Editor to help prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to local hospitals, foundations and corporations. This will include working closely with the Executive Director and Program Manager to help find and complete grants. Time commitment is approximately 5-10 hours per month. Please note we ask for a one year commitment. Feel free to send along writing samples and a resume if available.

We would greatly welcome a volunteer to guide and provide their expertise as an editor for EDRC’s WordPress-based website, edrcsv.org. As an editor of this site your duties will include: * Keeping the site back end software, including WordPress, Google Workspace and Site Kit, and various plugins, up to date. * Make changes to various static page content in accordance with other recommendations/standards from our staff/marketing team * Format and schedule blog post through WordPress at the direction of the staff/marketing team This can be done from anywhere and we are looking for someone who has an in depth knowledge of WordPress, who can also help to troubleshoot when problems arise.

We are successful in large part to our amazing volunteers, and would greatly appreciate some help with Social Media at this time. Social Media Manager: The Social Media Manager will administer the company’s social media marketing and advertising. Administration includes but is not limited to: Deliberate planning and goal setting Development of brand awareness and online reputation Content management SEO (search engine optimization) and generation of inbound traffic Cultivation of leads and sales The Social Media Manager is a highly motivated, creative individual with experience and a passion for connecting with current and future customers. That passion comes through as he/she engages with customers on a daily basis, with the ultimate goal of turning fans into customers. Community leadership and participation (both online and offline) are integral to a Social Media Manager’s success. An essential component is communicating the company’s brand in a positive, authentic way what will attract today’s modern, hyper-connected buyers. The Social Media Manager is instrumental in managing the company’s content-related assets. Google’s #1 search ranking factor is relevant content (content that serves the searchers needs the best). It’s clear then that managing content should be part of the Social Media Manager’s Job Description. Content management duties include: Administrate the creation and publishing of relevant, original, high-quality content. Identify and improve organizational development aspects that would improve content (ie: employee training, recognition and rewards for participation in the company’s marketing and online review building). Create a regular publishing schedule. Implement a content editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns. Promote content through social advertising.
