A site in Ypsilanti needs Food Counselors for their food distribution program. Looking for volunteers who want to make a long term committment. There is a 32 hour mandatory training program. Food program counselors will:
- Perform intakes and assessments to identify and meet the food and other emergency needs of consumers.
- Bag and take food to consumers.
- Stock the kitchen and basement food pantry shelves.
- Tear down boxes.
- Clean up kitchen after food hours.
