Volunteer Tutors are a vital part of the New Haven Reads literacy tutoring program! Tutors provide one-on-one tutoring for students age 6-18 primarily in reading.

We provide all the materials and training you need! Volunteer as little as one hour a week and help us spread our mission of sharing the joy and power of reading.

Our regular session starts September, 8th 2015! Volunteer for an hour a week or more.

About New Haven Reads:

New Haven Reads provides one-on-one tutoring for children who are struggling with reading. We also offer a kindergarten and pre-k program, special clubs, an SAT class and a middle school math camp. Currently, we are working with just under 600 students each week in three locations. We also provide free, gently used books to the public, teachers, and organizations.
