Dish It Up Congregate Meal Servers

RSVP volunteers feed both the body and spirit of Davis Co. seniors as they serve daily lunches along with smiles and welcoming words. Although meals are prepared off-site, volunteers assist with dining room preparation, serving, and clean-up of lunch at three Senior Activity Centers in Davis County. (Clearfield, Kaysville or Bountiful) Days are flexible, Monday-Friday. Volunteers can select which Activity Center and which days they would like to help. You choose whether to serve one or more days per week. Hours range from 10:00-1:00. Due to the required food handlers permit and background check, this position is not available as a one-time or group service project.

Davis Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is for people age 55 or better. Benefits of volunteering through RSVP include mileage reimbursement for travel between home and the Senior Center as well as supplemental insurance coverage while serving. Volunteers receive training and meals.

Come join us and serve up far more than just a meal!

About Davis County RSVP

Location:

42 South State Street, Clearfield, UT 84015, US

Mission Statement

Davis County RSVP empowers and enables Americans 55+ in addressing community needs and concerns through volunteering.

Description

Americans 55+ have a lifetime of experience to share and the desire to make a real difference in their world. Members of this mature generation have managed households, been business owners and nurses, farmers and salespeople, artists and executives. Now they are ready to put their unique talents and expertise to work in their communities, and enrich their own lives in the process.

RSVP is the connection to aid volunteers in choosing how and where to serve, time of service, causes to support, and how to get started. RSVP provides pre-service orientation, training from the organization where service is given, supplemental insurance while on duty, and, in some cases, a mileage reimbursement to cover the cost of travel between home and the volunteer site.

When you volunteer, you're not just helping others - you're helping yourself. Volunteering leads to new discoveries and new friends. Plus, studies show that volunteering helps you live longer and promotes a positive outlook on life.
