Meals On Wheels Delivery
Through Meals on Wheels (MOW), volunteers deliver meals and so much more to homebound individuals. Both Drivers for the vans and Runners to deliver the meals in to the seniors are needed. You will be assisting MOW participants meet 1/3 of their daily nutritional needs while providing a safety check on their wellbeing. You could be the vital source of human connection and socialization which enables them to remain living independently in their home.
Opportunities to serve are available Monday through Friday. You select the day(s) to volunteer selecting as many or as few as you like. Shifts are typically 3 to 3 1/2 hours. There are opportunities at all three Davis County Senior Centers - in Clearfield, Kaysville and Bountiful. Volunteers receive training and a meal.
Davis County Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is for people age 55 or better. Benefits of volunteering through RSVP include mileage reimbursement for traveling between home and the Activity Center and supplemental insurance coverage while in service.
Volunteers must pass background checks in order to keep our seniors safe. (Cost covered by Davis County.)
