Help us with our database! Work alongside staff to track donors and volunteers.
Are you interested in learning more about a nonprofit's development and fundraising department? Are you looking for an office volunteer opportunity? Then join Families in Transition as the Raiser's Edge Volunteer, this position will help with various projects that Families in Transition's Resource Development Team is currently working on. Under the direction and guidance of a development staff member.
This person will help enter donor information into Raiser's Edge to ensure an accurate donor database. This position is a great opportunity to learn about development and fundraising.
Duties:
Enter donor/participant information into Raiser's Edge
Stewardship with donors through processing donor acknowledgment letters(could they help with anything your office sends)
Donor record management
Skills:
Proficient computer skills
Strong verbal and written communication
Attention to detail
Ability and interest to learn new database systems (Raiser's Edge)
Strong interest in nonprofits and development
Work well independently

Description
Volunteering within the agency is a great opportunity to really see our mission at work and to connect with our staff and participants. Some of these volunteer opportunities include shifts at the food pantry, serving a meal at the shelter, sorting donations at Outfitters, helping with building maintenance, and supporting our staff with various administrative projects. We have opportunities for both individuals and groups as well as on-going and one-time projects.
