Sable Points Lighthouse Keepers Association
Sable Points Lighthouse Keepers Association has weekend volunteer lighthouse keeper opportunities at the White River Light Station for the summer of 2020 located in Whitehall, MI. What will be asked of volunteers includes customer service, greeting visitors and sharing the history of the lights. White River Light Station contains a gift shop and full training is provided prior to the volunteer experience. We also love hosting work groups that help us with many projects around the lighthouse. The purpose of Sable Points Lighthouse Keepers Association (SPLKA) is to restore and preserve Big and Little Sable Lighthouses and the Ludington North Breakwater Light, provide education to the public about the lights, and allow the public to have the opportunity to climb the towers. Volunteers are our strength and are encouraged to play active roles in our program.
By employing over 300 resident lighthouse keepers, we at SPLKA are able to preserve, promote, educate the public, and make the lighthouses open to the global community.
We'll work with your schedule.
