Help senior adults in the Leander area continue to live in their own homes. Volunteer drivers provide rides to their senior neighbors to doctor's appointments, grocery stores, pharmacies, etc. For many senior adults that don't drive, FIA-Drive a Senior Northwest is the only way for them to have access to their medical care and to run personal errands, and their only connection to the community. An easy to use online scheduling system allows volunteers to choose drives that fit their schedule, over 750 rides per month to chooose from!

To enhance the quality of life of older adults by providing transportation and other support services in the Northwest Austin, Cedar Park and Leander areas. The overall goal is to assist seniors to remain independent and in their own homes.
Description
Faith in Action -Drive a Senior Northwest (formerly known as Far Northwest Caregivers) is a charitable, volunteer-based organization offering free services to ambulatory seniors (60 and older) who live in far Northwest Austin, Cedar Park and Leander. Services include: transportation, social activities, friendly visitors, telephone reassurance, loan closet, information and referral and other support services.
