Information Desk volunteers provide customer service support to the Hospital's patients, visitors, and staff. Under the direction of the information Desk Supervisor, they are responsible for greeting, providing directions, and daily escort of visitors, including assisting patients in wheel chairs and transporting.
Ability to work as part of a team. Must be enthusiastic, friendly, patient and dependable. Must enjoy interacting with the public and be able to communicate effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds. Prefer physically fit and able to assist patients in wheel chairs and transport to desired locations throughout the Hospital.
As of 1/12/21 shifts available include:
Shifts available: Weekdays 6am-10 am, 10am-2pm.
A time commitment of 8 months/128 hours*** with at least one four-hour shift per week is required.
***Please Note: Once an applicant fulfills two months of volunteer commitment at the ground floor information desk, they may then switch to a department-based position.
