Losing the ability to drive can be devastating for seniors and individuals with disabilities in our community.
When you become a driver with SAINT- Senior Alternatives in Transportation- you keep a senior mobile and active. In the Berthoud area you can volunteer with the RAFT program. Providing transportation to medical appointments, social lunches, grocery stores, and special events is an easy yet powerful way to serve. You give someone the ability to stay independent in their own home without giving up the freedom to travel around town! This program is totally dependent on volunteers like you!
Your time commitment is flexible. You can be a regularly scheduled driver or a substitute. You'll receive training, support, supplemental insurance and gas reimbursement while you volunteer. And you're likely to make a few new friends while cruising around town!
