Transportation for seniors Needed
This volunteer opportunity is a great way for seniors to interact with kind-hearted people.
Provide escorted transportation to low-income and isolated seniors to medical appointments.
The volunteers would be asked to provide around 2 rides a month to seniors for medical appointments or grocery store trips. They will not need to assist at the appointments, just drop the client off and wait for them until they are done.
Volunteers can assist during the grocery shopping if they feel comfortable but it is not obligated.
The time commitment for each trip including transportation time, door-to-door assistance, and the appointment time is around 2-3 hours (slightly less for groceries).

Since 1957, Community Services Agency, a nonprofit agency, has been helping the hungry, homeless, needy, youth, elderly and families in Mountain View, Los Altos, and Los Altos Hills. Last year, CSA assisted over 8,000 individuals in our community.
