As a Pet Therapy Volunteer you may provide pet therapy to select patients in homes and facilities with your therapy-certified pet. These are requirements of being a Pet Therapy volunteer:
- Provide a minimum of two Pet Therapy visits per month
- Submit and maintain license certification, such as Delta Society, Therapy Dogs International, Inc. or Therapy Dogs, Inc. Your membership should provide proof of Liability Insurance coverage, providing coverage for injury or illness to other people, and/or if property damage occurs.
- Submit and maintain copy of current rabies certificate.

Description
Volunteers play an important role at AdventHealth Hospice Care of Central Florida. As a community-based nonprofit health care provider, we rely on volunteer support to help meet the needs of providing compassionate, specialized care for patients and families facing an incurable illness.
Whether you choose to work directly with patients and families or volunteer in several other areas available, you'll be making a difference in someone's life. There is a volunteer opportunity for everyone: adults with families, retirees, seniors and those with unique talents. All come from a variety of cultural, social and professional backgrounds.
Our Volunteer Coordinators will work with you in a personal interview to match your talents with current needs.
As a new volunteer, you will recieve training before choosing which volunteer opportunity will be most rewarding for you.
