As a Hairstylist Volunteer you may provide haircuts to select patients in homes and facilities. To be eligible to volunteer in this capacity, you must have a current Cosmetology License with the State of Florida.

Comfort Call Volunteers call home patients weekly from 9am to Noon to assess his or her need for medication, supplies, equipment and their pain level, reporting patient needs to Volunteer Coordinator. Comfort Call Volunteers also attend a monthly meeting with the Hospice Care team that they are supporting so they can stay connected to what is happening with their patients.

As an administrative support volunteer you may participate as a member of the Hospice of the Comforter office staff, providing support to office personnel and departments in such areas as clerical and record keeping. Projects may include mailings, on-site deliveries, data entry, phone support, filing, making copies and other special projects.
