Become a Communication and Technology Coordinator for Compassion Action Network. Compassion Action Network is made up of many non-profit professionals that come together to share resources across community organizations. The advisory team determines current trends and community issues and locates speakers to present on various topics throughout the year.

Responsibilities: The Advisory Communication and Technology Coordinator attends monthly board meetings, publishes CAN marketing materials, provides oversight of CAN database and communications through email, provide communication and documentation support for CAN events and manage the website.

Commitment: Serve a one year term, with option of future consecutive terms; attend board meetings on the 4th Thursday of the month from 9:30-11:00 AM, plus up to 16 hours a month. Much of this work is flexible and can be done from the comfort of your home.

Qualifications: Volunteer should demonstrate a commitment to working collaboratively with Advisory Board team, possess leadership skills and experience as well as computer expertise for CAN needs, be self motivated and have good communication skills, be comfortable in a decision-making capacity, be willing to learn CAN software, and be a member of one of the collaborative entities (CAN partners with faith communities, local service providers, Anoka County Government, school districts, secondary educational institutions and local businesses).

Training: Orientation to CAN and CAN's communication needs.
