Volunteer drivers needed to help senior neighbors who are moblie and independent, but just don't drive anymore. Volunteers provide rides to the doctor, grocery store, errands, etc. One drive a month will help a senior neighbor live independently in their own home. Drivers needed in Northwest Austin, Cedar Park and Leander. Volunteers choose rides from an easy online scheduling system to fit their own schedule; over 700 rides per month to choose from!

To enhance the quality of life of older adults by providing transportation and other support services in the Northwest Austin, Cedar Park and Leander areas. The overall goal is to assist seniors to remain independent and in their own homes.
Description
Faith in Action -Drive a Senior Northwest (formerly known as Far Northwest Caregivers) is a charitable, volunteer-based organization offering free services to ambulatory seniors (60 and older) who live in far Northwest Austin, Cedar Park and Leander. Services include: transportation, social activities, friendly visitors, telephone reassurance, loan closet, information and referral and other support services.
