RETIRED EARTHLINGS NEEDED!

Even if you are not retired, but searching for a place to volunteer, we can utilize your skills, experience and talents!

(Formerly the Challenger Space Center), the Earth and Space Expedition Center is a non-profit, unique space science education complex and is expanding our committed group of volunteers!

In addition to being a cross-curricular learning environment, the building also serves as an exhibit-based museum open to the general public for flight and space history, as well as protecting the planet that we inhabit. We also have exhibitions on loan from ASU as well as many private collectors.

We are in need of volunteers for the following areas:

Gift Shop / Admission
Admission entails greeting guests, accepting payment and answering general questions about museum events and activities.

Gift Shop volunteers assist guests in selecting and purchasing items to remember his / her visit.

Tour Guides
Our tour groups vary based on the public traffic each hour of the day so we are looking for individuals that are flexible to the size and ages of the group.

We do not require any special background or knowledge as training is provided on site. We are looking for individuals that would like to share their love of science, space, learning or small group public speaking with guests that visit the center.

Researcher
Research and share information about new things in Earth and Space that would be of interest to you or our community. The opportunities for communicating this information are varied!

Model Expert
Help restore and appropriately display detailed models of space-related items. Learn more about the models and communicate that with other volunteers, staff, and guests.

Office Help
Help our education department with various office tasks.

To inquire further, please call 480-404-4936 or email us your interest in volunteering > vphillips@theearthandspace.org
