Looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity? Join a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.
We are looking for a Volunteer Site Coordinator for our small Meals on Wheels site located in Pacific. In this position, your main responsibility would be to call participants for their meal order and coordinate the twice a month delivery of meals. The coordinator is able to fill in for any member of the Meals on Wheels team, including meal deliveries to participants in the area. Availability of 3 - 6 hours a month is needed. Meals are delivered the Thursday following the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month. Training for this position is provided.
Qualities sought in Meals on Wheels volunteers: Commitment to the well-being of elders, good communication skills, reliability, and good cheer.
Requirements: A Washington State driver's license, auto insurance, Washington State Patrol clearance, and the ability to lift 15 lbs.

Our eleven programs operating throughout numerous community and senior center sites are constantly striving to expand the provision of food security, transportation, health & wellness, and assistance services to under served and marginalized populations. We are committed to helping all people, especially those in low-income communities and communities of color, obtain the services they need while feeling included and respected in a community that affirms aging.
