We are looking for volunteers to go along with our residents on their weekly outtings to shop. Most of our residents are wheel-chair bound and need help moving around the stores and reaching things on high or low shelves. It's a great one-on-one opportunity! Trips usually take 2-3 hours and almost always are in the mornings (9am-noon-ish)

Description
Clinically sophisticated, yet intimate and comfortable, Riverside Regional Convalescent Center was one of the first centers in the area to provide Medicare skilled services. The 60-bed medicare skilled unit provides RN coverage 24 hours a day, a full time Nurse Practitioner and a team of dedicated physicians, nurses, aides, social workers, and dietitians. In addition, a full time chaplain oversees the Pastoral Care program and directs interdenominational services in the welcoming Chapel.
The subacute unit specializes in wound management, intravenous therapy, rehabilitation, and complex medical care. In addition, a specialized memory impaired unit for individuals with minimal to moderate dementia provides a structured program in a calm, comfortable, and safe environment.
Twenty-four hour nursing care is also provided. Accommodations throughout the Center include tastefully furnished private and semi-private rooms, courtyards, lounges, dining areas, and a beauty shop. Monthly support groups are provided to enhance family education and involvement.
