ORGANIZATION: Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Successful Parents Program provides parent education for at-risk Vietnamese parents, covering topics such as child development, parent roles/responsibilities, age appropriate behaviors/expectations, and accessing support services. The program also includes parent support groups and youth activities for children who accompany parents to classes and support groups.

Volunteer Responsibilities: Copying and filing, data entry, meeting preparation (includes setting up tables and chairs as well as preparing and setting up food) Childcare support and various duties as assigned.

Minimum 3 hours per week (program support from 4 - 7:00 pm on Wednesdays; office support during daytime hours)

Minimum age for volunteers: 18

Required Language Capacity: English; Vietnamese helpful but not required.
