We are Children Across America, a grass roots children's 501C3 non profit in Milford, MA., made up of dedicated volunteers helping America's children get educational and preventative health care opportunities. Accessible health care and a good education can change a child's world. You can be part of that change.
We are looking to expand our team and in need of a volunteer co-ordinator to join our organization. This is a volunteer position but what it does pay is more than money can buy, the satisfaction of changing a child's life! We need someone experienced in communicating and organizing volunteers. This position will require approx. 5-10 hours per week max. It can be a combination of in office and telecommuting. This can be an invaluable work experience for anyone in the non profit world looking to expand their resume. College student or an internship could also work.

Mission Statement
Children Across America is a 501 (c)(3) (EIN 27-0355388), humanitarian organization. Children Across America provides literacy support and preventative healthcare to underserved children in the United States. Its vision is to empower families and children in low income communities. Its unique programs are focused on improving children’s educational excellence and health. The organization partners with local libraries, school systems healthcare advocates and hospitals to ensure children get the full benefit of its programs. We provide a free alternative program to underserved families with students in grades K-5, who can't afford a private tutor, or professional tutoring services such as Kaplan or Kumon.
Description
CAA has a combination of medical and educational programming.
Our main educational program is a STEM and Coding program for all children. We also focus on children K-5 grade that come from families that English is not their first language. Our Summer Reading and Math Club (Children's Book Club) and our Saturday Reading and Math club's goal is to raise the level of literacy in America's children. Our Math Clubs are to help develop children's basic math skills. We help all children but our main focus is the underserved population of America. Our signature program is our Summer STREAM and Girls Love to Code Club, that runs from July through August and our Saturday STREAM and Girls Love to Code Club that runs each Saturday.
Our main medical program and focus of our medical programming is Health Promotion in motion. This is a immunization and preventative healthcare initiative focused on making sure every child in America is immunized per CDC guidelines and has healthcare coverage. We are a vendor for the State for Mass healthcare signps.
