Purpose: To involve teens in the library volunteer program and to provide an opportunity to earn non-court ordered community service hours. Qualifications: Ages of 14-17, and willing to serve and aid in the events of the library. Responsibilities: Teen Partners can be asked to assist in shelving books, shelf reading, tutoring, assisting with the computers in the children’s area, assisting with the self check machines, decorating the Library, and in general, assisting the Young Adult and Children’s Librarians with various tasks. These tasks might include stuffing envelopes, folding flyers, affixing labels, cutting paper items for crafts and other activities, and assisting with set-ups and take downs, handing out flyers, and manning tables at events.
