Get kids out from behind computers--coach basketball!

Most of us think today's kids spend way too much time playing computer or video games. You can help get them active, learn team work and enjoy the sport of basketball by coaching a team of 4th through 8th grade boys and girls!

The City of Tempe is getting ready to kick-off its winter recreational basketball leagues for elementary and middle-school students. The season runs from January 7 through February 25. Practices are played one or two days a week, at the conveneince of the coach. Games are played on Saturdays at Westside Community Center or Escalante Community Center.

Volunteers must have general knowledge of basketball rules and drills and have a little playing experience.
