Reports To: Health Council Chairperson
The Environmental Health Committee chairperson is tasked with identifying and proposing strategic initiatives for environmental health that will foster good health outcomes. Understanding Environmental health will help meet the wellness and treatment needs of our community
The Environmental Health Committee will develop relationships with and interact with individuals/organizations currently involved and interested in supporting such efforts. The organizations may include but not be limited to Lee Health Coconut Point (LHCP), Lee County Public Health, Florida Public Health, Lee County Schools, Blue Zones, FGCU Water School, FGCU, and Medical and Nursing schools
Responsibilities of the Committee:
- Continue to recruit committee members
- Hold meetings as needed
- Report on
- Health Council meetings
- COO
- Executive Management Team (EMT)
- Communicate activities
- Maintain an ECCL web presence
- Be prepared to brief at monthly members meetings
- Write articles for publishing
- ECCL E-blasts and GECR
- Local and community newsletters
- Recruit guest speakers for members meeting for awareness
- Coordinate with other ECCL Councils
- Environmental
- Education
- Culture & Recreation
- Findings and recommendations
- Data
- Gather and analyze Environmental Health data
- Connect health professionals to provide speakers for community visits
- Work with Blue Zone
- Measure results
