Manager of Marketing Content Development - Remote Position
This position plays an integral role in the enhancement of marketing content to support promotion of our eLearning methods. You will work closely with colleagues and contractors who create communications for learning programs that support our stakeholders’ goals and strategic priorities. You will provide input and recommendations for engaging, relevant, and effective marketing content.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with instructional designers to ensure that communications and learning solutions:

  • Are engaging;
  • Most important, meet intended learning and strategic business objectives.

Duties and responsibilities

You must be able to:

  • Have deep knowledge in educational promotion.
  • Produce scripts for marketing video production.
  • Ensure messages and terminology are consistent across all written materials.
  • Guide a team of general writers, market analyst, editors, and proofreaders to ensure high-quality projects are completed on time and meet objectives.
  • Help develop and edit content for a range of media, including eLearning voice over scripts, live and animated video scripts, and much more.
  • Research, build, and write highly engaging and reliable content on tight deadlines.
  • Curate and edit copy projects to ensure they appeal to targeted audiences and work within the context of the media and delivery platform used.
  • Keep updated on innovative communications strategies and delivery platforms.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with instructional designers, graphic designers, developers, project managers, and curriculum development associates.
  • Be highly independent and self-motivated.
  • Commit a minimum of 10 hours a week of voluntary service.

Skills, experience, and knowledge

  • At least 5 years in a wide variety of life sciences industries
  • At least 5 years in senior editorial roles featuring a wide variety of digital and print media solutions
  • 5-7 years of managerial and leadership experience
  • Direct experience in curriculum writing, development and delivery
  • Instructional design experience is a must
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications, English, communications, journalism, or related major but able to understand the wide range of a K12 educational needs

This is a volunteer position. There will be no financial compensation. Our organization is 100% volunteer run. We welcome volunteers located anywhere in the world, as long as they can connect reliably to the Internet.
