The Email Marketing Specialist reports primarily to the CEO, Chief Marketing Director and Marketing Manager and is responsible for executing School Group’s email marketing communications from setup to testing, launch, analytics, and social media optimization. The ideal candidate should be passionate about writing mission driven content, have a positive attitude, be detail oriented, results driven, a dependable team player, and demonstrate a sense of urgency.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Own all aspects of email campaign production:
- Creation, scheduling, and obtaining management’s approval.
- Quality assurance to ensure that the copy and links are correct.
- Maintain email marketing calendar to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- · Partner with other teams, such as programs, development, and social media to execute email campaigns.
- · Maintain awareness of email marketing trends, best practices, and technologies.
- · Assist with ad-hoc email campaign requests as needed.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in Word.
- Strong verbal and writing skills.
- Interest in new technology.
- Excellent time and project management with exceptional attention to detail.
- Hands on experience working with Constant Contact or comparable programs preferred.
- Knowledge of email best practices, success metrics and CAN-SPAM legislation.
- Degree in English, Business, Marketing, e-Commerce or related field preferred.
