Graphic Designer Opportunity brief Janet Thomas is the CEO of the Bible Stories Theatre, and she is organizing a musical stage play entitled Nefertiti 18th Dynasty. We are looking for a Graphic Designer to create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media. The goal is to inspire and attract the target audience. Graphic designers create visual concepts, using computer software or by hand, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate consumers. They develop the overall layout and production design for applications such as advertisements, brochures, magazines, and reports. Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. If you can communicate well and work methodically as part of a team, we would like to meet you. Responsibilities Study design briefs and determine requirements Schedule projects and define budget constraints Conceptualize visuals based on requirements Prepare rough drafts and present ideas Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic Work with copywriters and creative director to produce final design Test graphics across various media Amend designs after feedback Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand Requirements and skills Proven graphic designing experience A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop) A keen eye for aesthetics and details Excellent communication skills Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines

She needs an Virtuall Social Media Coordinator to help her promote the musical. The BSTFPA's Social Media expert will manage the social media elements to foster interaction, education, engagement, and discussion regarding the company’s brands upcoming musical Nefertiti 18 th Dynasty, through the use of online communities. He or She will optimize content, join conversations on behalf of the brand, and support current and prospective customers: manage, update, and enhance through creative efforts our social media efforts, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other blogs and social media channels. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Monitor and participate in online conversation via posts to build brand visibility and thought leadership. · Author blog posts, articles, podcasts, videos and screencasts, (or relevant media) to creatively communicate the musical’s upcoming announcements. · Monitor media channels on a daily basis or as needed for content issues. · Develop and execute initiatives to drive member-generated content, increase community participation and add value to the online community experience. · Identify and drive opportunities for intersecting online community features with potential partners. · Identify, develop and manage relationships with service providers that can add value to the site feature. · Provide tracking and metrics to communicate community activity to internal and external clients. · Assist in coordinating special events as necessary. · Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not mandatory. · Minimum of 3-5 years related digital or communications experience desired. GRANT WRITER Janet Thomas is the CEO of the Bible Stories Theatre. She is organizing a musical stage play entitled Nefertiti 18 th Dynasty. She needs a grant writer to help her bring the production to the stage. She is seeking help from several volunteer agencies where he/she will be required to submit a job description for the volunteer position of grant writer. Under the direct supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the BSTFPA grant writer will identify, define, and develop funding sources to support existing and planned program activities as well as lead the development, writing, and submission of grant proposals to federal, state, and private funding agencies. And conducting the full range of activities required to prepare and submit timely, accurate, compelling, polished proposals (including budgets) to foundation, corporate, and government sources. This includes tracking program department funding needs and strategy; prospect research; maintaining the calendar of grant application; project management for grant applications; writing, preparing, and submitting Letters of Interest [LOIs] and grant applications; calendaring, tracking, and submitting grant reporting on grant deliverables; tracking all documents and program information required by funders; maintaining grant tracking, filing, and database entries; summary of awarded applications & project management of award signature process; developing and fostering relationships with public and private grant makers; and ongoing funder communication in collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer. Provides development support, in a team environment, with other fundraising and department initiatives and activities. Essential Tasks Responsible for tracking of programmatic funding needs and grants fundraising strategy for BSTFPA programs. Research prospective grant sources (private, corporate and government) compatible with BSTFPA’s mission, values, and programs in support of the theatre’s strategic and program goals and calendaring those prospects into the annual grant strategy. Attend bidder conferences and grant application training sessions hosted by funders, as necessary. Coordinate the development of grant requests by establishing timelines that outline tasks, assignments, and deadlines; meet all deadlines; facilitate timely communications with program leadership; collect grant submission materials from Programs and Finance. Draft and edit high quality, compelling LOI’s, grant proposals, grant reports, and acknowledgement letters. Research and collect data and study findings to support grant proposals and reports. Special attention should be made in checking for completeness against grant instructions, spelling, grammar, and style; and to ensure compliance and regulatory requirements. Format agency and departmental budgets to meet grant sources’ budget requirements. Copy, collate, package, and submit final grant materials per grant instructions, and within funder deadlines. Respond to inquiries from funders and programs strategically and in a timely manner based on guidance from the Chief Executive Officer. Establish and maintain positive and professional working relationships with private grantors, corporate funders, and governmental agencies. Reviews, summarizes, and tracks data on grant awards received in database and file formats. Oversee and track all grant milestones including, but not limited to; proposals in development, proposals submitted to funders, proposals that have been issued or canceled, deliverable deadlines, communication, and awards, in donor tracking software, ensuring that all content is complete and up to date at all times, and that calendar reminders are set up in Little Green Light. In collaboration with Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer develop an annual grants strategy. Establish and maintain positive relationships with BSTFPA’s program directors and staff. Professionalism: Treats others with respect. Accepts feedback without defensiveness. Prerequisite Qualifications The candidate must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as a part of the BSTPA volunteer team: Three (3) years grant writing and reporting experience in a government/non-profit setting Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred Prior to joining the volunteer team, obtain fingerprint clearance Strong written communication skills; demonstrated ability to write clear, structured, articulate and persuasive proposals. Attention to detail, strong editing, and organization skills Ability to meet deadlines Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently with purpose and accuracy in a fast-paced environment. High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * Experience with reporting databases preferred. Ability to: Maintain orderly work environment and perform tasks in a prescribed and safe manner. Maintain and improve professional skills and knowledge. Be flexible and receptive to suggestions, input, and change. Understand and carry out both oral and written instructions in an independent manner. Communicate effectively and tactfully in both oral and written forms.
