Nurses and/or Licensed Practical Nurses are needed to assist physicians and help provide needed health care services to patients who have no health insurance, Medicare, or Medical Assistance.
Nurses duties:
- Checks exam rooms and supply areas to be sure that everything that could be needed is in place
- Escorts patient to exam room
- Takes weight and vitals for each patient
- Determines reason for patient's visit
- Takes history of new patients
- Assists physician in patient care as that particular doctor wishes
- Provides educational materials and instructions for patients as needed
- Promotes effective communications with patient, doctor and office staff
- Answers patient's questions about medicines and follow up care, obtaining additional information from physician, if necessary

RSVP helps people age 55 and older find rewarding opportunities for community service. Each year hundreds of seniors contribute thousands of volunteer hours using their own talents and interests to help meet community needs at nearly 80 non-profit agencies and programs throughout Crawford County.
Description
Crawford County RSVP is federally funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service as a Senior Corps program, and is sponsored in Crawford County by the YWCA of Meadville.
