Volunteers help monitor the water quality of French Creek at designated sites along the creek. This group performs monthly chemical tests using chemcial test kits and state approved protocals for asseessment to protect the creek from non-point source pollution; and they do a biological habitat assessment in the spring and autumn.
Volunteers enter the test results into a innovative electronic database that links monitoring groups throughout the state.
The volunteers collabrate with other local organizations to educate the public, especially youth groups and students. CCSEC members serve as trainers for other volunteers. The volunteers step forward to master the technical skills and the art of training so each group unit can provide its members with quality assured training.

RSVP helps people age 55 and older find rewarding opportunities for community service. Each year hundreds of seniors contribute thousands of volunteer hours using their own talents and interests to help meet community needs at nearly 80 non-profit agencies and programs throughout Crawford County.
Description
Crawford County RSVP is federally funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service as a Senior Corps program, and is sponsored in Crawford County by the YWCA of Meadville.
