Help a neighborhood senior to remain health and independent.
Volunteers use personal vehicle to transport people to medical/dental facilities, therapy, diagnostic tests and other health related destinations.
Tranports are coordinated by a team of volunteers located at the Business Resource Center in Kingston.
Transporters are matched to persons needing transportation services based on your personal time availability and committment.

RSVP is nationwide, but is sponsored locally by the Ulster County Community College, Stone Ridge, New York. Our mission is:
To enrich the community through volunteer placements that utilize the talents, interests and experience of persons 55 and older,

Provide valuable volunteer services that address the needs of the community and affect a measurable difference.
Description
MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR COMMUNITY!
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through schools, day care centers, police departments, hospitals and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
