Food Pantry
Unpacking a donation of food.

Volunteers interview clients and give out bags of groceries. A small amount of paperwork is required in processing and filling out the intake information. Food pantry volunteers also stock shelves with food and prepare food bags. People who find themselves in a position of having no food are grateful to have a place to go to where they can get groceries to last them a few days. We often have messages on our answering machine and notes in the mail from people who are grateful to have received food. Volunteers must attend a volunteer orientation session. Hours vary at the different pantries. Please put email address and or phone number before sending your request.

About CROS Ministries

Location:

3677 23rd Ave. S., #B101, Lake Worth, FL 33461, US

Mission Statement

The mission of CROS Ministries is to serve the hungry in Palm Beach and Martin Counties through community collaborations.

Description

In 1978, a group of United Methodist Churches joined forces to create Christians Reaching Out to Society, Inc. or as we are known today, CROS Ministries. Over time, we evolved to become both ecumenical and interfaith, forging partnerships with various communities, schools, businesses, civic groups, government entities, and local nonprofits. Today we stand as a beacon of hope, tirelessly working on the front lines to directly benefit our brothers and sisters facing food insecurity.

Our services include distributing food from six brick and mortar food pantries in Delray Beach, Jupiter, Lake Worth Beach, West Palm Beach, Belle Glade, and Indiantown in Martin County and a mobile "pop-up" food pantry serving Greenacres (three sites), Haverhill, Lake Worth Beach, Riviera Beach, West Palm Beach, and Wellington (two sites); serving hot meals and delivering homebound meals to residents in Delray Beach through our Caring Kitchen program; and recovering fresh fruits and vegetables from local fields that are distributed with the help of community partners to local pantries and meal programs through our Gleaning program.
