No Paw Left Behind Foster Home Program No Paw Left Behind is a foster network rescue, we rely solely on our foster homes to save the lives of pets in need. A foster home is the most important link in our rescue; our fosters give a loving temporary home to our pets while we interview for loving forever homes. Puppies are adorable, but they are also very demanding. If you have raised a puppy before then you know you are in for lots of laundry and disappearing socks! Puppies are also at the greatest risk of becoming sick in high volume shelters. Due to this risk, No Paw Left Behind tries to get the puppies out of the shelters as soon as possible. Additional training is needed to learn about warning signs of illness. Dogs over four months old can still be very energetic, but at this age their personalities are more structured and they are easily house broken. Adult dogs are evaluated for behavior prior to placement, so foster homes know what to expect in regards to crate training, energy level, tolerance of cats and children, and any other personality traits they may have. Senior dogs are one of the staples of No Paw Left Behind, and while some senior fosters may end up "retiring" at their foster homes, we believe these sweet and gentle souls deserve a chance for a happy ending as well. http://nopawleftbehind.wufoo.com/forms/canine-foster-home-application/

Mission Statement
No Paw Left Behind's mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and place severely injured, abused and feral dogs and cats in South Florida; provide special attention to pets that need medical or behavioral assistance; admit pets in need without basis of breed or size; place each one of our amazing survivors with a loving forever home; continue to develop ways to help lower our numbers of feral pets; build community understanding of feral issues; educate the public about responsible pet ownership; assist in the investigation and prosecution of animal cruelty and neglect; and document the stories of love and survival to further develop our humane education outreach program.
Description
No Paw Left Behind is a foster home network comprised of over twenty fully trained foster homes. We are always looking for new volunteers to become fosters, transporters, event helpers and more!
No Paw Left Behind rescue pets come from all over Florida, many from high volume county shelters and others are found on the streets as strays or are owner surrenders. No matter the species or breed, illness or age, from dogs and cats to bunnies and exotic birds, No Paw Left Behind strives to find a way to help as many pets in need as our resources allow.
