Interested in helping a senior in your community? Volunteers of America, Snow Buddy Program is looking for volunteers to shovel snow for seniors in Adams, Arapahoe, Denver, Douglas and Jefferson counties for the winter season. We match volunteers with seniors who live within 2 miles of one another. The Snow Buddy clears snow over 2" within 24 hours to decrease the risk of falls for the senior buddy and to avoid city and county fines. The Safety of Seniors Handyman Program seeks to improve the quality of life for senior citizens by providing assessment, repair, and referral services that extend the period of time during which seniors can remain safe and independent in their homes.
Description
The Safety of Seniors Handyman Program provides services to seniors, age 60 and older, residing in Adams, Arapahoe, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson, Clear Creek and Gilpin counties. The program's goal is to keep all seniors living safely and independently for as long as practicable.
