Money Management Volunteers - Brookline

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Springwell, Inc.

The Need

Some people are overwhelmed with paying routine bills and keeping track of their finances. Our Money Management Bill Payer volunteers assist seniors and disabled adults with their monthly bill paying and organizing their paperwork. Volunteers also help establish a budget, keep track of bank records, monitor income and handle other issues associated with personal finance.

The Commitment

We will train you and provide ongoing support. The time commitment is flexible, and ranges from 3 to 6 hours per month depending on a consumer’s needs. Orientation is two hours including time spent reviewing the Volunteer Manual on your own. We match you with one consumer in your preferred community and you will meet monthly for up to 2 hours and then write and submit a visit report to the Program Coordinator. Volunteers attend 3 training sessions per year to learn about new resources and refresh their program knowledge. A minimum one-year commitment to the program is requested.
