This is an unpaid, remote volunteer position.

Kiva’s Review and Translation Program is made up of 400+ volunteers that support Kiva's mission of alleviating poverty by editing, translating, and providing a thorough policy review of borrower loan profiles before they are published to Kiva.org for lenders to fund . Each profile provides a brief overview of the borrower's background and their loan use. This personal component helps connect Kiva borrowers with Kiva lenders.

As a Kiva Spanish Translator, your responsibilities would include:

• Translating borrower loan profiles from Spanish to English while maintaining the Lending Partner's voice
• Reviewing each loan profile for clarity and adherence to Kiva's policies.
• Important: Volunteers do not determine borrower creditworthiness. This is done by Lending Partners in coordination with Kiva; volunteers neither approve nor deny loans.
