Our Friendly Visiting Program matches volunteers with homebound older adults who are suffering from social isolation. We only ask for one per week. A chat, a board game, a short walk with a friend is life changing for our homebound clients. The visiting time is based on YOUR schedule. It's hard to describe in words, the positive impact this one hour per week has on our clients.
We have a few clients in Pomonok and are looking for volunteers who are in close proximity as sometimes parking may be difficult (not impossible, but not always easy). Living within the complex of these buildings makes it easier to walk from one building to another.

Description
Services Now for Adult Persons Volunteer program is two-fold.
1. We help active senior citizens find volunteer opportunities in the community.
2. We recruit any age volunteers to assist homebound and more frail senior citizens in their every day needs. From just having tea and chatting to shoveling snow, all volunteers are so welcome and so appreciated.
