We are seeking experienced individuals who can sew, stich, tailor, mend, hem, alter clothing and apparel and general costume shop volunteers to organize, clean and restock our costumes and costume shop.
Our costume shop volunteers are essential to the vision of our costume designer as they help bring costume designs from concept to stage.
Volunteers can set their own hours within costume shop hours. Once set, each week volunteers are scheduled to come in and assist with costumes. So, if you are available once a week on a certain day, that can be your schedule each week. We would love to have you for the entire day, but we ask for a minimum of 4 hours per day. We understand that things come up, so when they do you only need to communicate when you are unable to make it.

Description
Ocala Civic Theatre has been uplifting, inspiring, and entertaining our community for more than 70 years. Founded in 1950, OCT is one of the largest community theatres in the state and serves 65,000 local residents each season. We are able to present professional-quality live performances thanks to the talents and dedication of our volunteers, staff, and guest designers. In addition, OCT’s The Academy education programs reach more than 1,000 learners of all ages year-round through skill-building and performance classes.
