Circle of Care volunteers call patients or their caregivers each week to check on their needs prior to the weekend. Volunteers follow a phone script, assisting them to identify patient needs such as medication refills, supplies, or equipment that needs to be addressed prior to the weekend.

As a Circle of Care volunteer, you'll contribute to a collaborative, proactive approach in caring for terminally ill patients and their families. After training and education, the calls may be done from your home or your local AccentCare office....or even a coffee shop!

Description

AccentCare Hospice provides hospice care to patients where they reside. Our focus is to empower our patients and their families to live their lives to the fullest despite the terminal illness. We provide an interdisciplinary team, including a volunteer, for each patient and family to meet their physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs.
