ORGANIZATION: Kiva

Do you have experience building relationships remotely? Would you like to use your skills to facilitate lending in over 80 countries around the world? Apply to become a Kiva Volunteer Team Leader!

Kiva’s Review and Translation Program is made up of 400+ volunteers who support Kiva's mission by editing, translating, and providing a thorough policy review of borrower loan profiles before they are published to Kiva.org.

As a Kiva Volunteer Team Leader, you will lead a team of up to 35 volunteers. You will motivate and support your team to encourage their consistent loan review, ensuring a steady flow of loans from the field to the Kiva website. You will also maintain the efficiency of Kiva's processes by fostering connections between the volunteer community and Kiva headquarters.

This role will require you to craft weekly updates and develop creative approaches to strengthen your team's engagement. You will maintain regular email contact with team members to answer their basic questions, provide guidance, and solve problems. If necessary, you will direct volunteers to use Kiva's loan review resources or escalate any questions related to policy or technical issues to Kiva staff. You will also help to shape the future of the Review and Translation Program at Kiva by exchanging ideas with other Team Leaders and Kiva staff during regularly scheduled conference calls. Your input will be valuable in helping the program develop, document, and share best practices for future Team Leaders.

As mentioned above, we are seeking applicants to lead a team of up to 35 volunteer translators/editors. Please note that this is an unpaid, remote volunteer position.
