Provide veteran to veteran support to hospice patients through volunteering as a companion for a little as 1 hour per week. Stop by to chat with a patient, attend a pinning ceremony, present patient with a challenge coin, or even hold a Vet-to-Vet cafe to visit with other Veterans. We need volunteer Veterans throughout northern Colorado.

Description

Hospice affirms life. Hospice exists to provide aupport and care for persons living with a serious illness so that they may live as fully and comfortably as possible. Hospice is specialized care that provides supportive care directed towards enhancing quality of life. Together with the patient and family, the interdisciplinary caregiving team focuses on the individual's physical symptoms as well as the emotional and spiritual concerns of the patient and family.

Understanding that it is a privilege to accompany patients and families on this unique journey, hospice strives to uphold the patient's personal dignity and to ever sustain hope.
