Provide veteran to veteran support to hospice patients through volunteering as a companion for a little as 1 hour per week. Stop by to chat with a patient, attend a pinning ceremony, present patient with a challenge coin, or even hold a Vet-to-Vet cafe to visit with other Veterans. We need volunteers throughout northern Colorado.

Are you a skilled seamstress who wants to create loving memories for others? Be a part of our memory bear program to create meaningful legacies for families. Our seamstresses create memory bears or pillows from the clothing of hospice patients, giving their families something to hold onto after their loved-ones pass. The family provides the clothing. The volunteer provides the sewing machine. We provide any expendable items, such as eyes, noses, thread.

Pets and their handlers must be certified by Pet Partners or Therapy Dogs International and are required to be up to date on vaccinations. After (human) volunteers have completed orientation and training as a Direct Patient Care Volunteer and pets have a behavioral assessment by the Volunteer Department, they can make visits to patients at home or nursing facilities. Hours are flexible, depending on your schedule.

AccentCare is committed to ensuring that no patient dies alone unless that is their choice. Vigil Volunteers are trained to support patients in their final hours by holding their hand, providing reassurance, placing a cool washcloth on their forehead, creating a peaceful through music and aromatherapy, and offering support and sacred space throughout their transition. You will receive full hospice volunteer training and specialized Vigil Volunteer training. We need volunteers throughout northern Colorado.

Provide compassion to hospice patients in the Loveland, Fort Collins, Windsor, Greeley, Evans, or Longmont area. As a Namaste Volunteer you will provide comfort by listening to music with patients, spraying soothing mists, and arm massages using fragrant lotions. We provide everything needed including the training. As a Namaste Volunteer you'll make an impact in so many ways, help change lives, and brighten days!
