The Atlanta office of Heartland Hospice is currently seeking volunteers to support our agency by providing clerical and administrative assistance.

The hospice administrative volunteer performs duties to benefit our patients and their families within the office setting. This role involves tasks such as filing, organizing, creating informational packets, answering phone calls and/or other tasks related to office assistance.

This volunteer role offers flexible hours Monday through Friday and we will be happy to work with your schedule. If you have previous office or clerical experience, or if you have an interest in gaining new experience with clerical work, then this will be an excellent opportunity for you.

Our office serves the following areas and we welcome compassionate volunteers in the following counties: Fulton County, DeKalb County, Gwinnett County, Fayette County, Clayton County, Henry County, Rockdale County, Newton County, and Walton County. The administrative volunteer opportunity is in-office only and does not involve travel to different locations such as patient homes.

Volunteers are the heart of the hospice team and Heartland Hospice depends on volunteers to help us provide the extra love and care that our patients and their families need at this time in their lives. Hospice volunteers are oriented to the hospice program as well as the hospice philosophy and goals of caring to ensure that they have the skills needed to assist patients and their families. Volunteers offer support, companionship, and practical compassionate help whether it is running errands, staying with the patient so family members can take a break, reading to a patient, or holding someone’s hand.
