Health Imperatives is seeking a Violence and Intervention Program Community Engagement volunteer/intern for May 2024- September 2024 to assist with a few projects related to community outreach, prevention, and tabling events. This volunteer will be tasked with the following projects:

  • Attending community events showcasing program services
  • Identifying community resources and disturbing flyers and information
  • Engage with community members including youth to deliver prevention activities

Volunteers should:

- Be at least 18 years old

- Have access to a car or public transportation to get to and from our agency

- Be available, at minimum, 2-4 days per month including nights and weekends

Who we are:

Health Imperatives is a non-profit community based agency that provides vital health and human services to nearly 30,000 families and individuals each year from communities stretching from Quincy to Nantucket.

Health Imperatives promotes healthy, safe, and vibrant families and communities. We support families and individuals who are struggling to cope with the devastating effects of poverty and violence, individuals who are worried about their health and safety, and parents who may be unprepared for the challenges of raising young children.
