Mentors spend time with youth ages 14-17 years old that are in court ordered out of home care (foster care or relative placement) or have turned 18 after being in out of home care. The volunteer will provide long term support to the youth as a mentor and act as a resource as they leave the out of home care system. Matches usually connect in person two to three times per month. The mentor will work on skills which may include budgeting, education, employment, or other tasks to encourage independence.
